More than just a puzzle or block set

Great for kids 2 and older, this is a neat combo unit with blocks but also puzzle effects. We find that puzzles are a great way to encourage concentration and steer away from the 'what do I do next' TV watching mentality found these days. With high quality, good colors and sturdy pieces, this is a great way to get Little One on the road to good old fashioned fun with puzzles. Square cubes hold color and clean easily.

Good first set of blocks

We have a few HABA block sets, but I was looking for something a little less vibrant to use during my then 16-month-old's photography session. These blocks are beautiful. The variety and depth of colors are captivating, and the texture of the blocks make them very easy to stack. They are not as slippery as most wooden blocks, and my son feels successful when buliding towers with these. They are also a little more light-weight than other blocks, so when the towers come crashing down, I don't cringe quite as much.
