wooden blocks great gift for 8 month old

My 8 month old daughter loves these blocks she recieved as a Christmas present. Her favorite is the orange oval. The blocks are very durable and made very well. They are much nicer than her plastic blocks. II highly recommend these blocks.

Cool Set!

I got this to add a few more special blocks to the Haba Fantasy block set. Every block is beautiful and has something special about it. My son was paricularly impressed by the green triangular block, which has a lenticular inset into it, so if you turn it, it shifts in color from pink to blue to yellow. While this set makes a nice addition to any block collection, I wish I had bought it with the shape sorter as it would have given us another way to play with the blocks. I might have to get that too, but would be happy to have a double set of these blocks.

Perfect first blocks

We love these blocks. We have the other Haba discover blocks as well, that are cubed shaped; these have very distinctive shapes, but they still stack perfectly. My 11mo old can stack two or three and is also entertained by the bell in one, and my 3 year old likes to look through them and use them with his other blocks. Great size, no hazards, very well-made. These are FULLY worth the price.
