I love HABA blocks. The colors are bright and they are full of unexpected surprises. I bought this set for my daughter's first birthday. It as just the right size for someone just starting to stack blocks. And she really loved putting the dwarf in the car. Since then, we've expanded our collection and we all (even the much older siblings) enjoy having a beautiful set of blocks that grows as she grows. There is no better toy for years of creative play than a good set of blocks.

We have discovered the world of Haba and are switching out all our plastic toys. These were bought for my 7 month old who after excitedly hitting the pictures on the box let me open it up. The green ring was the first to catch her eye and she gummed that while exploring the others with her free hand. All the blocks are very smooth and well put together. The square has a jingle bell inside, the blue rectangle a mirror recessed on one side and the red rectangle four beads on a dowel. The beads move just enough to slide but not enough to get her finger between them. Big brother likes to zoom around the man in the car which makes her laugh. This was our first Haba block experience and we are all thrilled and I look forward to passing these down the line.
