Stimulating Fun!
As soon as the box was unwrapped on christmas, it was opened and the blocks were out. My kids like this set so much that we had to stop opening gifts for an hour.
Sturdy and inviting, these blocks are great for stimulating the senses.
Great blocks
My daughter got these for Christmas. We also have a basic Haba block set and it is great fun for her if we switch a few of the basic blocks with these discovery blocks. She quickly discovers which color the "fun" block is and keeps going for it.
Fun blocks for babies
I agree with the previous reviewer - these are great blocks for using alongside "plain" blocks. We also throw one or two into a basket with some plain blocks and let our children find the "fun" one.
My babies are only 9 months, so right now they only really like the bell and the beads. They can't appreciate the kaleidoscope or the yellow lens yet, they just like those blocks because they have a hole in them and are therefore easier to hold.
The only reason I didn't give these blocks 5 stars is because I found them to not be as well made as other Haba toys - the edges are starting to show some wear from my babies chewing on them and the insides of the blocks are not varnished - just raw unsanded wood. Still a great set of blocks though!
Smart designs
My baby loves the colors and the sounds made by rattling the block with the bell in particular. She loves chewing on them and is amused looking at herself into the mirror. Smart and creative designs for the infants!
Nice first blocks
We bought these for my niece as a first set of blocks and for my daughter to add to our existing set of Haba blocks. They are lots of fun either way. And are of the great quality I expect from Haba. At first they enjoyed stacking them, but at the grown-up age of two they now enjoy looking through the prism block and seeing "wots and wots of MaMa's.
A perfect set of 6 unique blocks
I just bought another set of these to use with our current blocks, and my baby loves them. He loves to hold one in his hand and crawl around and drop it off at one end of the room and then come back for more. Each one holds a suprise -- great quality and holds up to his teething.
Super blocks, but pricey
Gotta agree with the others - these blocks are great for adding interest. And anything that can lure my kids away from the TV to play with BLOCKS is worth it's weight in gold. So I guess the price can be justified!
