Stock the fridge!
This is the perfect starter for a great play kitchen. There are enough different items to play cook, picnic, grocery,and restaurant. We actually have the set for a younger than 3 year- old, but only gave her the largest pieces for now and the basket. As she grows , she will get the rest.The pieces are so pretty that you won't mind them in a common room. We leave them on display in the kitchen. They are great for a quick distraction when you are trying to cook and your child wants to "help".

This is a great starter set, I just wish some of the pieces were larger, like the bread, it looks more like a hot dog, but still very cute
Wonderful collection!
My children 3, 6, and 9 have loved playing with these lovely wooden food collection. Each piece is small but very smooth and of outstanding quality. We used to have a plastic food collection which was rarely used but these have been cherished since we purchased them.
Perfect selection of Haba wooden foods!
This is the perfect way to start off with a sampling of various Haba foods. The price is a great value! The pieces are smaller than I expected, even after reading other reviews. They really are perfect for a child's hands, though. I just wish the food sizes were proportional to each other. The milk container is especially tiny. The banana is smaller than a single slice of cheese. My daughters haven't noticed that, though. They are just thrilled with all the pieces and will play with them for hours. You just can't beat this quality for play food. And other than the banana, the shapes and colors are all very realistic.
Great starter set or way to stock up
A great way to stock up and save some money on these items. Not at all in proportion to each other, but I know my kids don't mind. Some items are just right, and some seem too small rather than too large, but I think it just makes them cuter! The basket itself is nice, though not nearly as sturdy as the food. The handle broke off of ours, but it still gets filled and emptied and filled again just the same.
The hit of the party!
This set is awesome! Everybody was ooing and aahing over this beautiful wood food set. Each item is smooth & intricate. Of all my daughter's gifts, this is the one she was most interested in and is still playing with. I was worried about the small size, but they fit her hands perfectly and fit well into her pots for making recipes!
