As the pictures on the base plate complement the image not all pieces have to be inserted into this jigsaw puzzle for little ones. The pieces with the buttons for clutching are also suitable for free play.
In general I'm a big Haba fan. But this puzzle did not live up to my expectations. The colors look faded and unfinished. The wood work is poor. Seems almost like they forgot to sand down the edges. My son (20 months) loves it never the less.
