A great first game

I bought these shortly after my daughter's second birthday. She's not going to childcare this year, and I was looking for educational ways to spend our time together. She likes lacing beads, and I thought this would be a nice introduction to playing games. It took a bit of time for her to understand the rules, but by the end of a half hour she was telling me which color goes next and really enjoying throwing the die. Sometimes enjoying it too much. Her favorite part was walking the caterpillar after it was all assembled. I tied the string in a knot, and she "walked" the caterpillar along the floor. Like all Bambini sets, I recommend taping the dowel to the string to make threading easier for little hands.
