cooperative game
this is a excellent choice for a child's first game. for one it is a cooperative game. and two it is very well made.
well made beautiful components.
wooden fruits and cute wicker baskets, no cheap plastic here.
game idea - play together to bring in the harvest before the last raven card is placed on the board.
fun for adults too.

Everyone wins...
or everyone looses to the raven. This is a great game that lasts due to the nice wooden pieces and it is a great game to play when friends come over. Kids play together to collect the fruit before the raven gets it. There are "no fair" tears when playing this game!

Lasting value
This is a beautiful game. I bought it when my now 15 and 16 year olds were 3 and 4. They were playing with it last week and everything is still in good shape except a few of the baskets. This is a lovely game that teaches cooperation rather than competition.

Great game for young kids...
because it is cooperative rather than competitive. Everyone is playing vs. the Raven in the game, all the players either one or loose together. I thought the Raven puzzle could have been a little bit higher quality for the price of the game but still very nice.

Great first game
My daughter got this when she was three and one year later she still loves playing with it. It's definitely a favourite family game and she can now play it with her friends on her own.

A great cooperative game!
My 3 years old daughre loves this game. It is great it's not a competitive game. It is also very colorful and well-made. All the details are very stardy except for the baskets - my daughter broke one of them on the second day of play, trying to put more appleas in it. I wish the baskets were also made of wood, then they would last longer in little childrens' hands.

A HUGE Hit
Not only is this a family favorite, but my son LOVES to get this one out when his friends come over and play a round or two of "The Bird Game". The pieces are gorgeous. The fruit is beautifully crafted, as are the baskets. This was one of his first games and is a super one because everybody cooperates -- rather than playing against each other, the goal is to beat the bird. Nobody goes away sad. We have had this game for two years and still play it frequently.
